| The forum now processes new forum codes [s] ... [/s] to mark a piece of text to be struck-out like this.
The intention of this code is to allow editing of old messages, where you may have made an error, but want to leave the erroneous code or statement in, struck-out, in order to have subsequent posts make more sense.
For example:
Nick: I think I'll take a spaceship to the Moon Mars.
David: Why would you go the the Moon?
Without the struck-out text, David's question might not make sense, after the original post was edited.
You might also strike out some suggested code you posted on the forum if, further down, you post an updated version. This is to make it obvious that the earlier post is now out of date. |
