Edit the saved world file in Notepad (or UltraEdit, Crimson Editor, or some text editor of your choice).

Near the start you should see something like this:

The options you mentioned should be set (see lines in bold above). If so, when you reload that file, they should be set in the world configuration.

Maybe you didn't save the file. Maybe you opened a different one.

Can you describe exactly how you are opening your world file? I seem to recall someone had a similar problem a while ago, and it turned out they were using File menu -> Import, rather than just File menu -> Open.

hey nick,

thanks again for youre anwser.

i can tell you the exactly way what i do.

1. Now i deinstall mushclient 4.43.
2. clear all data in the mushclient folder
3. downloading the new mushclient 4.51 client (installer) and install (typical)
4. no problems to install mushclient. mushclient tells me "Launch MUSHclient now?" i choise yes.
5. mushclient works and verified data with a sql database? ni idea, but all okay and works :)
6. welcome screen, i push ok and i get a error: "Failed to launch help." and the Windows Support Center open it (look screen link -> http://img413.imageshack.us/i/firsterror.png/)
7. i push ok and the mushclient tells me the "Tip of the Day" :). i close Windows Support Center too.
8. i choise "Show tips on StartUp" and close
9. now i use "File -> New World" Mushclient tells me: "Preload world defauls from an existing world" i dont have a existing world, i choise "No/Nein" (look screen -> http://img651.imageshack.us/f/exstingsworl.png/)
10. I type in the World Name, the Name from the Mud.
11. i type the ip adress and port and choise the Option -> "Save World Automatically On Close" (look screen -> http://img199.imageshack.us/i/firststep.png/)
12. i go to "Logging" and choise the options -> "Format of log = HTML and Colour" and "Log Output", "Log Commands" and "Log Notes" (look screen -> http://img294.imageshack.us/i/secondstep.png/)
13. so, i am on the "Commands" and choise my options see screenlink -> http://img443.imageshack.us/i/3step.png/
14. my last step is to translate english -> german under the "Keypad"-Options" see screen links here -> http://img210.imageshack.us/i/laststep.png/

soo all done. i push "Ok", he connect. i type my name and.... the autorepreat commands doesnt work.

:(

i save the world with the option "Save World details as..."

that it.

PS: the Option "Echo My Input in Custom 2" (yellow) doesnt work again.

Ok i do that (with the saved world) and now IT WORKS!! :)

i dont have a idea why it works, but it works.

--------------

i have 2 little questions, i hope you can help me.

1. the mushclient disconnect me from my favorite mud, without a errortell. (see screen -> http://img199.imageshack.us/i/discon.png/ )

the client tells me i was connect 6 hours etc. but in the mud i was after 20 minuts discon from the mud.

the wizzards tells me: its not a problem with the mud, he thinks my client haves a automaticly disconnect option.

can you help me about this problem?

-------------

so my last question :). i have a 1920x1200 resolution, my problem ist this here (see link http://img96.imageshack.us/f/auflsung.png/ )

the text are very small and i have a big black wall on the right side. haves the mushclient a option to make the words and all bigger/larger or so?

best regards

It's normal to just open a file. Import is for adding extra stuff, like more triggers.

No it doesn't automatically disconnect, why would it? However your router might be doing it.

See:

http://www.gammon.com.au/scripts/showrelnote.php?version=4.44&productid=0

There is a command you can type to enable TCP "keep alives" which might help keep the connection open.

Yes, in the world configuration, output section.

Once you do that one time (and save the world), you should see:

send_keep_alives="y"

... in the world file, and it shouldn't be necessary to do it again.

However not every router will necessarily respond to those.

If you have done that (for every world you open), then try something like making a timer that sends something every couple of minutes (eg. "laugh") so that the world keeps some activity.

Well if the MUD disconnects you after 20 minutes, and you aren't allowed to send the occasional message to keep you logged in, then things are pretty-much working as expected, right?

You aren't saying, are you, that the MUD disconnects you, even if you are sitting there typing in stuff?
