Hi,

I have a question about creating new herbs and using them in pipes (I haven't been able to find much documentation and am still learning Smaug 1.4)...

Anyway, I've created a new object for a pipe and created an herb object.

But when I type in fill <pipename> <herbname>, I get a message saying the pipe is already filled.
So then I try emptying and tamping the pipe but then get the same message when I try to fill it.

I looked through the smaug source code to try and get a little background about how the pipe function works, but I couldn't get a good feel for it. I've looked in the herbs.dat file and was wondering if I specifically have to enter my new herb in that file or if creating one for my area is enough?

Here is a piece of my area file:

Please ignore the code I have below for two reasons, 1. I figured it out and 2. the object I had put there was for a pill object and not an herb object.

So if anyone is curious, I'll put the correct code below maybe it will help someone out...I found a good reference at http://www.shadow-lands.com/sml/1999/msg08673.html
