hey nick just wondering if the source you are hosting is stock 1.4a without the bug fixes? I just got visual .net and have got it to compile with no errors but i didn't know if you had fixed any of the stock bugs.

I'm not sure - the copy is pretty old. I don't know how many official bug fixes there are around. I think I made a few changes to fix things regarding Windows, like the "save" problem.

I keep a list of bugs that I have posted to the Smaug Mailing List at: http://users.sheltonbbs.com/~rhaas/pirate/files/smbugs.txt

Also, Shadow Lands hosts the SML Archives, which is a good place to look for previously posted bugs.

Heh. Post resurrection :P

Anyway, as far as bugfixes go, the FUSS packages include all the known ones anyone has found thus far. They are currently hosted at www.mudplanet.org in the files section, but you're free to host them here as well since this appears to be a very popular spot for Smaug users and these packages would benefit everyone greatly.

I hate to be the one to mention this after you went to the effort to host the files here, but the 1.4aFUSS package for Smaug had a pair of wrong files in it that I had *JUST* been fixing in the last couple of days and for some reason the files didn't update properly. I've fixed that, but the copy you have here needs to be replaced. The rest of them are fine and don't need to be messed with. :)

You may as well fix the bug with the NMOTD being black-on-black while you are at it, see my recent post.

OK, I got the new SMAUG FUSS, and it *looks* like you fixed the colour problem, but in a different way.

I've uploaded the newer version to this site.

What files needed to be changed? Do I need to change them for my SWR 1.0 FUSS too?

(update)

Not sure now the problem *is* fixed, see my other post on the subject of the colour issue. There is a call to reset_colors in comm.c, but in the wrong spot, I think.
