| Thanks again, I fixed everything in my last post, but I have some new questions. I want to delete some areas. Someone told me just delete the area file from windows. So I tried this. When I did a make, it had sum errors, and bugs and ended up not working. I didnt understand it all. But I'm guessing, that the bugs, that referenced to bad vnums probably was because now I have mobs in non-existant rooms...
So I erased smaug, recompiled it from the beggining. I need to know if there is a safe way of deleting areas. Also, last time I tried to save my own areas it never worked. I used the savearea and loadarea command, but when I cam back, all my exits and desc were gone in one area, and in a another the whole entire thing turned back into a void. If anyone can help me with this I'd be really happy.
Also, you mentioned in a previous post (nick) that to add color, I'd have to change the code. and change one of the lines. How do I change the code? And where is that line at? | top |

| The *ONLY* way to remove an area without crashing your mud is to remove its filename from the areas.txt file. As far as the file itself, it doesn't much matter what you do with it after its safely removed from areas.txt, but just deleting the area file won't remove it from your mud. |
