| Hi, i have a problem with being god, the 'lordrom' account that comes with windows rom server should be able to use OLC. So what i did was download rom_with_olc.zip and rom24.zip, and i unzipped rom24.zip into a folder, then unzipped rom_with_olc.zip into the same folder which overwrote rom.exe and added a few files, then i double clicked rom.exe and telneted to 127.0.0.1:4000 and logged in as name:lordrom pass:win95 and attempted a 'redit' command, but all that happened was it said 'huh?'. so now its been hours trying to find the problem im turning to a proffessional lol, please help me out! thanks | Top |

| You might have to assign yourself some room numbers. I don't know how the ROM server works, but under the SMAUG server I had to first create the 'building' directory to store the files, then use the lordrom character to assign room, mobile and object numbers to itself. It took some stuffing around, but now I can build online.
Of course, that was SMAUG, and you're using ROM, so it may be a whole other issue for you. | Top |

| I think that the rom_with_olc.zip is misnamed, sorry. It is really rom_with_mudprogs.zip. |
