| Hi! Firstly I'd just like to say how lucky I feel to have run across this site, it's helped me immensly in the last couple weeks and I'm really grateful.
I've played around with this for the last couple weeks, but still haven't had much success. What I'm trying to do is fix the color, which is all in the bright colors, and cannot be added to items/mobs etc short desc and long desc. I had a little success when playing around where I could make the long desc in color, but the short desc would still show like - &ga backpack instead of making it the color I wanted.
I'm really new to all of this, and am sorry for the lame questions. I've tried everything I could think of, and after downloading multiple snippets/helps, have come to the point where I need to ask for help.
I'm running a windows ported version of smaug 1.4 which I've compiled with cygwin. I've made a few minor changes, mostly to the date/weather code, but nothing serious. I've played around with smaugwis alot, and really liked the abilty to color anything I wanted and would love to have that feature, but as of yet, I don't know if I'm dedicated enough to coding to go out and buy VC++ just to play around with. I'd appreciate any help anyone could give?
Thanks again! | top |

| I think the difference will be between whether the desc gets sent with send_to_char or send_to_char_color, I would see if you can amend the way that it shows the short desc. |
