Hey everyone... as per Nick's suggestion in one of the threads below I downloaded Crimson editor with the impression that it would color and recognize lua syntax, but I downloaded the latest release and it didn't have Lua as a syntax option. I checked the home page and looked through the versions, and only the 3.50 version said straight out that it supported Lua syntax, so I downloaded that and it's still not an option. Am I missing something? If it's possible to get it to recognize lua syntax and color it for me, let me know?

If it isn't possible, does anyone have a suggestion on an editor that will do this for me? Thanks in advance!

Is this for .lua files?

I don't think I did anything special, however look at this thread:

http://www.gammon.com.au/forum/bbshowpost.php?id=6529

In there I describe how to add the MUSHclient function names as keywords so they are coloured too, however I thought Crimson Editor came with the Lua file.

I am using Crimson Editor 3.70, which I think is the current one from the web site.

It may be supported, but in my noobishness I probably overlooked it. I'm checking out that thread now. I looked under Document >> Syntax and it wasn't there... is there somewhere I should look for it? I tried autorecognize and it didn't seem to work.

I use Crimson Editor too and it colors the syntax for Lua files just fine as long as the file extention is ".lua" If the file is created as a new file it won't color the syntax until it's been saved as a ".lua" file.
