Zeno is right here, you need to use GDB to examine the core file to see exactly where it crashed. Without a backtrace to show what line of code and in what function, no one is really going to be able to help you.
To offer any type of suggestion would only be speculation and lead you to go off searching for ghosts that may or may not exist.
Take a good read through Nicks guide to GDB, take a stab at doing these things yourself and then if you fail ask some more questions here and someone will gladly help you further. |

Thanks, well i went and did what i could...but it just doesn't make sence to me i guess, but some of the examples really weren't the same as what i have....
and a lot of it just doesn't make sense to me ya know, like the examples just aren't working for me, its a good guid for someone who knows what they are doing but sadly i don't as i don't know squat about building, or maybe i am just throwing the towel in to soon, either way i will keep trying untill its working

| All you have to do is start with gdb, like this:
(In other words, put "gdb" in front of what you did before).
Then when it crashes, type "bt" (backtrace). Then post what you see, here. |

actually no i didn't Funf or gatz did this and has never got it to work on cygwin
BUT in good news i kinda got it to work, i commented out that section that includes the line and whatever it does, and the mud booted up crash free but i am sure it does something..... i just don't know what it is, lol
something to do with AFK and the bigshot channel that tells everyone where the bounty boys are i think its to not trigger bigshot on people who are AFK, maybe i unno | Top |
