What is Win32?

Win32 refers to "32-bit Windows", in other words the recent versions of the Windows operating system which run in 32-bit mode. These include:

even if Win32s (the 32-bit Windows subsystem) is installed. This is because the server uses some 32-bit features, such as multiple threads, that are not supported under Win32s.
