| I have run into a problem using the MUSHClient when it comes to copying and pasting text. It seems to me that clipboard is not consistently activated when copying data. For example, I had a new trigger that I wrote. Simple enough to test a line of text. Well, I wanted to test the trigger so I copied the line from the world window that I wanted to test and attempted to paste it into the "test trigger" screen. For some reason it accepted the paste command but no data was placed. I tried a few times using right clicks and standard shortcut keys to no avail. Finally I just used the menu button for the copy then right clicked in the test trigger window and it finally pasted. Just didn't make any sense to me. Has anyone else run into this? | Top |

| There is a configuration option that affects this.
Some people wanted to have their typing always appear in the command window, even if the output window (the upper one) was active.
Check out:
File -> Global Preferences -> General -> All typing goes to command window
If this is checked you will not be able to use Ctrl+C to copy (because the first thing this will do is switch the focus to the command window).
When unchecked you should be able to highlight and copy in the normal way. |

| How about an option to have all text that is selected in the buffer automatically copied to the clipboard? This is the way I'm used to working in programs like mIRC and SecureCRT, and since CTRL-C doesn't work for me to copy from the MUSHclient scrollback buffer, this feature would be greatly appreciated.. | Top |

| Ctrl+C will work, unless you have selected the global option "All typing goes to the command window".
However you need to click on the scrollback window first (as you would do as you are selecting the text) otherwise Ctrl+C will copy from the command (input) window. |

| I actually have a problem with cutting and pasting in the manner that when I attempt to copy from the output screen it gives the error: "unable to set Clipboard data" I have no idea why, but it hasn't worked since upgrading from about 3 patches ago. Can anyone help me with this issue? | Top |

| That error message is provided for the unlikely event that MUSHclient can't set the clipboard data. However writing to the clipboard hasn't changed in ages. I suggest trying an earlier version. Does the problem definitely not occur with that? Or has your system changed in some way? |

| No it actually started when i upgraded to the 3.28 version, nothing else has a problem, and it hasn't worked since then. I guess it's not that big a problem, but I'd hate to go back to before 3.28 since I really enjoy the featues on 3.42. As for now, I just log the window and cut it from the logfile. | Top |

| That is very strange. I don't believe that aspect has changed, and you are the only person to report this. |
