| I was running Mushclient on a Windows Xp pc via a direct connect to my DSL modem, I just recently changed it over to add Linksys Firewall DSL Router and suddenly Mushclient has been giving me problems. I am sure it is something other than mush client actually causing the error but few other applications give me this sort of problem. It seems every 5-10 minutes any one of my idle mush sessions will disconnect but all others will stay open just fine as long as I have been active on them. Now I have been using mushclient for years and have cheked all the settings, idle disconnect is off as well as a few other settings that might affect it. The router as well is set on keep alive (every 30 seconds or so) to prevent any sort of disconnections. Why are these sessions timing out? I am having the same problem on all of the mushes I am play on. Do I have some sort of setting messed up or does Mushclient have problems running through a firewalled router?
I'm a registered owner of mushclient for 4 years now, I'd appreciate any help you could give me.

| It's the router, I'll bet on it. Some of them do this. I really don't know how to fix it; my Dlink DI-804 or something did it all the time, but now that we're using an SMC Barricade Wireless broadband router, it never happens.
So not much help, I know, but it's not MUSHclient. | | Top |

| Well I found out a bit more about the router and what might be happening, I can't 'cite' any sources but anyone else having the same problem as me might want to make sure their telnet port is UPnP forwarded , I have yet to see if this works but if you are using UPnP on your machine it might mess things up. Once again this is just a helpful hint and I have yet to verify if it works or not. If it does I will be sure to post back here once again. Just a little something I found on the web if anyone else wanted to know.
