Ok this is an idea me and a friend came up with. A system that is like Final Fantasy Tactics job system (almost like it not that much), instead of the system being based on levels of a class to reach a higher one its based on stats and the skills you already aquired. You start out as a commoner which can go into one of 5 classes (havent really decided which they are but note warrior, cleric, mage, thief, entertainer), or go the RP mode and become more of a profession character like a merchant, nobles, etc. The characters gain stats on use, for instance strengh is raised by hitting things, that are stronger then you, you will eventually plateu if you keep on fighting monsters that are the are as strong as you. ok back to the class system. The system is like this a squire (fighter for this example) has options A, B, C and hidden option D.once he becomes B, for example and builds up those skills somewhat, he is promoted to cavalier, but cavalier can further

subclass to 2 more classes. say that once he takes his second subclass option (after cavalier) your locked into the various knight/cavalier subclasses, because youve advanced so much in the knight class that you can not go back to a beginner state. if i can draw a tree in this i would, think of it as branching out. There are two mana types, arcane and divine magic, everyone has them, divine just needs you to have a god, clerics have a more defined connection to their gods so its easier for them to channel their divine magic. same goes for mages. Mana is limited, and is not regained constantly, you have to go to a library to gain arcane mana, or a temple to gain divine mana. this will make it so that a mage can just hammer people with magic and would have to be save its mana to be an aid to a group. I will write more as i finish the idea with my friends, hopefully i can actually make this happen. If you guys think it would be a good idea or if you have any questions please post. and thank you for listening to someone who is not important in here.
