Hey, I'm currently using the unregistered version of AreaEditor (planning on registering sometime in the next month or so). Anyway, I haven't been able to find a way to set "affects"...for instance I want a weapon to affect damroll by +1, but I don't know how to set that. Some of the objects I've seen in the stock areas, and areas that I've gotten from various websites have affects that appear in the "affects" window under "Summary" But I can't figure out how to add affects to my own objects. Am I missing something right under my nose...or? Thanks in advance.

Click on the object in the left-hand window (the object, not any sub-things like descs or affects).

Then go to the Area menu and choose the top item "Add affect/description/program". Select "affect". The new affect will appear under the object. You can then edit it.
