| The prompt won't have anything to do with it.
Make sure you have ignore case, and set everything to lowercase (change your A|An to a|an). This USED to make a difference, I'm pretty sure nick fixed it, but let's not tempt fate.
Do you have a trailing space? In the mud output behind the period?
Paste the function youre using to set your variable here. And while you're at it, copy/paste the variable here as well.

Solution:
You don't have expand variables checked.
That's your problem (and that's why we have you copy/paste your trigger).
You also have a space before your ^ in your match text, as well as one after your $ (those won't match on ANYTHING, ever). You'll need to get rid of those as well. |
