| I recently just switched over to Mush 3.62 and while using a earlier version I was using an alias which was:
<aliases>
<alias
match="ratmove *"
enabled="y"
send_to="12"
sequence="100"
>
<send>setvariable "dir", "%1"</send>
</alias>
</aliases>
Now when I try and use such alias it gives the message of:
Alias function "" not found or had a previous error.
to me. I never received this with my last version of mush any ideas why?

| Yes, you've found a bug. :)
I can reproduce your bug but can't explain it this moment. I naturally do lots of scripting and alias tests whilst testing a new version but that one seems to have slipped through.
Look out for an update later on today. |

| Ah I see what happened. There is a test in recent versions that warns you if an alias script doesn't work any more, so you don't waste time testing something without realising the script isn't running.
However the test should have been disabled if you didn't have a script name. Somehow this slipped through my testing, and no-one else noticed either. I probably didn't notice because the whole point of the test was to warn you if your script didn't work, the special (but common) case of not having a script name didn't get tested.
This will be fixed in a new release today.

| | Any chance you could tell me how to work around this? Or possibly post a newer tarball for us linux users. Newest at the moment seems to be 3.61. | | Top |
