| I redownloaded the Rom server and started it it loads fine and I can connect from my pc but now when a friend tries to connect they get an error saying something like server may be down.

| It could be a few things:
- You gave him the wrong IP address
- He typed in the wrong IP address
- There is no link between the two PCs (eg. one or both is not on the Internet)
- One or both of you has a firewall blocking that port
- If you are running inside some kind of internet sharing arrangement then incoming connections might need to be redirected to that PC, however outgoing connections will work OK
