I have run into the classic tables.h issue, and kicked its goolies.
I now have ROM2.4b6 running just fine on Ubuntu 7.10
Problem is ... I REALLY want some ANSI goodness ... and cannot find code ANYWHERE!?
Do you guys hide this under your beds? ;)

If you mean ANSI colour, I would try looking here:
ftp://ftpgame.org/pub/mud/diku/merc/rom/snippets/
In particular this file:
ftp://ftpgame.org/pub/mud/diku/merc/rom/snippets/colour_V1_2_tar.gz

Yes I mean colour ... and thanks I have now downloaded the files.
One question though ... has no-one bothered to package:
ROM2.4b6 + Colour + OLC + CopyOver and sundry fixes?
Or am I being demanding? :D | top |

| Yes, they have. It's called QuickMUD: http://www.mudbytes.net/index.php?a=files&cid=259 |

Just after I have bested:
1 out of 13 hunks FAILED -- saving rejects to file act_comm.c.rej
on Rom24b6OLC.tar.gz ;)
Along comes the answer ... thanks Samson ... that was really useful! No really,
now I have a unified codebase (which I assume will be somewhat tested). I will
crank up this 'QuickMUD' and see if it revs as sweetly!
Thanks again ... good to see that MUD interest is still alive. ;) | top |
