Okay, I have the MSP plugin installed and working for my game, so that's not the real issue. But I do have a few questions/suggestions/whatever. Has anyone figured out how to automatically download the sound from the website of the game? Obviously, there is a certain client out there that can do so, albeit not too well. The other question, is that can you now control the volume of the sounds when played, instead of always using the max. I read some stuff about playsound which allowed for volume control, which is cool, but what about the sound function? Can you control the volume level on that as well, that way the person can still hear the sounds even if the client is only running in the background.

Thanks in advance,
KeB

Check out this:

Template:post=9943 Please see the forum thread: http://gammon.com.au/forum/?id=9943.

Someone there got Luasocket to download stuff from the web, so that could be the basis for grabbing sound files.

As for volume control, PlaySound does that:

Template:function=PlaySound PlaySound

The documentation for the PlaySound script function is available online. It is also in the MUSHclient help file.

However I think the default implementation cuts off the sound if you change applications. The Sound function does not have any provision for volume control.
