In part my problem was that I had used the mysql.dll in the original zip package mentioned near the start of the thread.

Apparently this is linked against Lua 5.0.

When I dropped the mysql.dll from the downloads page linked against Lua 5.1 the DLL loaded and was recognized.

I appreciate your answer and hope that if someone else has this problem this message will assist them.

Hi Nick-

Do you happen to have a more recent link to access the mysql dll files available for MySQL database connection with Mushclient?

Thanks Nick,
