This is the first C++ source code I have ever downloaded and it compiled without ANY errors the first time! And it's a hude program, too. Great job!

Thanks for the compliment, although most of the development was done by Thoric (Derek Snider) with Altrag, Blodkai, Haus, Narn, Scryn, Swordbearer, Tricops, Gorog, Rennard, Grishnakh, Fireblade and Nivek. It was based on the original MERC 2.1 code by Hatchet, Furey, and Kahn. Merc was based on the original DikuMUD code by: Hans Staerfeldt, Katja Nyboe, Tom Madsen, Michael Seifert and Sebastian Hammer.

All that we did on this site was adapt it for Windows. :)
