Translate German umluat sequences

Data type meanings

Description

This function translates various German sequences to the non-umluat versions for MUDs that do not support umluats, as follows:

ü to ue
Ü to Ue
ä to ae
Ä to Ae
ö to oe
Ö to Oe
ß to ss

VBscript example

Send TranslateGerman ("ü")

Jscript example

Send (TranslateGerman ("ü"));

Lua example

Send (TranslateGerman ("ü"))

Return value

The supplied text with the sequences described above replaced.
