Long time since I've posted here, but I wanted to get some input on some ideas I'm tossing around in my head specifically on skill-systems.

What I'm planning on having is 4 base skills:
*Stealth
*Combat
*Magic
*Crafting

All specific skills (IE Stealth would include sneak, hide, steal, peek, pick lock, backstab, etc) would be obtained through quests. When executing the skill the skill would be rolled against their level in whatever base skill it falls under.

Does this seem like a viable plan? Please poke holes in my ideas!
