Is there any way to make it so that when typing something into the command window, pushing shift+home to highlight something for deletion doesn't automatically copy it into the clipboard? I've looked through the settings and whatnot, but I can't quite figure out if there is anything I can do to disable that. :)

It shouldn't do that. Have you got something else installed that might be affecting this behaviour?
Hmmm, okay... I think I see what I'm doing, apparently I don't release shift quickly enough when I delete something after highlighting it with shift+home, so I end up hitting shift+delete, which I assume is a windows shortcut to cut. Heh. ;)
