I switched from SMAUG to SWR because this codebase is more along the lines of the theme I was going for all along, but the commands are way different. I don't know how to promote people to "immortal" status, as the command advance doesn't work the same. Is there anywhere I can get a list of commands and how they work in SWR so I can get the people interested in working on the game, able to do so?
Switched from SmaugFUSS to SWRFUSS and now confused

In game type 'commands' or 'wizhelp' commands will list all the normal commands and wizhelp will list imm only commands
I knew that, but it doesn't explain how the commands themselves work. For instance, the command ADVANCE is listed as:
help advance
ADVANCE
Syntax: advance <character> <level>
ADVANCE sets a character's level to the specified value. It is the
only way to create new immortal characters within the game. ADVANCE
may also be used to demote characters.
in the help, but when I type the command the way it explains, I get this:
advance self 65
Log: Admin: advance self 65
Syntax: advance <char> <ability> <level>.
So...it doesn't explain the commands how they actually work, but the old way of how they worked in Smaug. I don't know how to promote my staff members in SWR, it's not the same as in Smaug.

In SWR or derivs advance is to advance classes such as combat, bh, engi...so to make someone an imm, I think the command is either immortalize or makeimm.
The command should be immortalize to make a lowbie immortal. However, if you want a max level immortal you'll probably have to open your player file and edit your top level.
As Keberus mentioned, to use advance you have to name the ability you want to increase since there are several. You can't just set an overall level, and I don't believe the command can be used to make immortals at all since that requires levels beyond the max levels for each ability.

Thanks you two. I think I figured it out. I just edit the player file and put in the toplevel that I want it to be. Pretty simple!
