Umm yeah I did the stuff it said at http://www.gammon.com.au/smaug/howtocompile.htm#example
and umm yeah i got this error (oh and theres no smaug.exe file)
if you could tell me whats wrong thanks! Oh and i'm compiling the source file thats found in the download section of your site and it has that mxp stuff. Also i'm running windows me(man it sucks) and umm yeah heres the stuff it said at the end:

Ok i fixed that problem. I opened makefile and it had in there some notes about some lines in there one of them was something about the type of error i got and it said to delete that line (i assume thats what it meant for me to do) but.... got a new problem now (this probably should go on running the server bit but anyway)
I try running smaug.exe....

No area.lst file? Sounds like you aren't in the area directory. I usually do this after a compile:


cd ../area
../src/smaug

I don't know what's wrong, but I keep getting this error when I try to make

Search the forum (see link below) for "regex". There are quite a few posts on the subject. One should be able to help you.
