| I have a rather unique problem: People can connect with a client, such as MonkeyTerm which seperates the port, but with telnet or hyperterminal they cannot. Any ideas? | Top |

| Separates the port? How do you mean? What do they type exactly, into (say) telnet? |

| In the connect to area:
(IP address) <PORT #>
Example:
123.123.123.12 4000
In a client there is a prompt:
IP: 123.123.123.12 PORT 4000 | Top |

| If using Microsoft's telnet, just type (at a command prompt):
telnet address port
eg. telnet smaug.org 4000
Alternatively, in Microsoft telnet, if you just start it up, go to the Connect menu, select Remote System, and you see a dialog box with a field for the address and one for the port. |
