For some time I was searching for good implementation of politics in SWR universe. And found none.
We use highly modified version of SWR 1. I found that diplomat isn't very good class. In fact - he's almost useless. Beside few skills and capturing planets.

Did you meet some good SWR based mud, where diplomacy is treated right ? I mean - real goverment, with changing enviroment, elections, diplomatic meetings between planets/gov's.

For last months I'm working to develop some kind of goverment system. Its tricky.

This is something what describe my main thought how I would like to see this system.

Most confusing is to describe few diffrent political systems, for every one little diffrent elections. Gathering support, applying economical, military and social pressure to other planets ... Possibilities are endless.

Most of them could by implemented quite easy - like quest or task to get support. More tricky would be if on the same planet were two or more diplomats gathering support only for them self.
Next, after election - gathering to make decisions (action) or to respond to action of neighbour planet (reaction).
Furthermore - LAW, create, remove, modifie and demand respecting.
All of this is not too dificult to implement if taken one by one.
