| I am running a version of SMAUG smaug1_4_a_win32bin mainly because I could not get any other version to save properly. However it seems there is no Mud.h file anywhere to be found. Is there any way to access the source through this version? | top |

Well, you have the binary version, so there won't be source with it. Accompanying that should be another download with the source, but you say that doesn't save. I would investigate why, I seem to recall this question came up ages ago but I can't find a reference to it.
My advice is, install Cygwin, download the latest SmaugFUSS source, and use that. I presume you have a compiler anyway as you tried to compile before. The SmaugFUSS source has a lot of bug fixes in it. |

Yeah, dowloading Cygwin now. Problem with using Visual Studio was that it could not recognize the "make" command. So compiling there was impossible (maybe not but I am a novice) But looking back I found that my issue originally with Cygwin was that I never installed the "make" section of the program. I am attempting to try again and will load up the latest smaugFUSS source I can.
Thanks for the advice, much appreciated | top |
