I've been trying to find a way to make a global gain mod. I have been going at it for a few days now.
I have tried to use this http://www.gammon.com.au/forum/bbshowpost.php?bbsubject_id=6524 as a reference.. but not sure how I can make it so a admin high enough level can make a global change in the exp gain.
For example, the admin could type in expgain 10 and the percentage gain would increase by 10 and maybe show up in an announcement or on the who list or on the score card.
Since I'm new to programing in the SMAUG engine I'm slowly learning all the decorations and process of the code. So bare with me thanks.
~EDIT
Ok got it to show up in the game, the mod system in theory works. I just do not know how to tell yet. As for as the percentage mod I'm able to figure that out... thanks for viewing, and if you do have tips on how I can display this as an announcement and or on the who list please let me know.

You can add it to the MotD for example, by editing the "motd" help file (I think that's the name, at least).
You can add it to the who list by editing the code that displays it; do_who would be a starting point. |
