I cant open a new world using the 'Open World' tab. When clicking on the world name in the Open World tab nothing happens. If I want to open a new world I have to use the 'New World' tab and manually enter all of the information and configurations I want.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

(currently still using V 4.84 since I get multiple error messages when trying to install 4.91)

Do you mean, an existing world?

What operating system are you using exactly?

Ok, I got 4.91 to install correctly so that is taken care of. I'm still using XP as an OS.

I hope I can word this correctly to explain the world opening problem.

On my screen on the left side in the tool bar there is an icon that looks like a sheet of paper (shows it to be the New World tab when the mouse cursor is on it). Right next to that is an icon that looks like a folder (shows it to be the Open World tab when the cursor is on it).
I used to be able to open several worlds (ie 1, 2, 3, etc) by clicking on the Open World tab. A pop-up window would appear showing all of my saved MU's. I could click on the desired MU and it would show up as the next number (meaning if I had World A in the #1 box and World B in the #2 box the next one would show up in the #3 box with all the configurations I had saved previously for that world).
Since I installed 4.84 way back when I have not been able to open another world without using the New World tab and have to manually input all the information needed and reconfigure all my preferences.
If I click on the Open World tab I get the pop-up that I used to see but when I select one of the saved MU's nothing happens. The pop-up just disappears.

It sounds to me like the file open dialog is failing silently. Check what your default world file directory is (global preferences).

I can't explain that. Thousands of copies of the client have been downloaded and I don't think I have heard of this particular bug.
