| Another question (and thanks for all the help so far):
I'm having a little trouble understanding how the shopkeeper code exactly works. Here's a little background on what I'm trying to do first...
Let's say in Area A, you can buy foo at a real cheap price. The player can then travel all the way to Area Z and foo is highly valued.
My question is: is this already part of the smaug system or something that needs to be specifically coded in? I guess what I'm asking is that are the values of items based on the areas or on the inherent value of the item when it is created and then set by the stats of the shopkeeper? The reason I'm trying to be so exacting is that say I always want the price of X that all shopkeeps sell to be fairly the same but the price of Y that all shopkeeps sell to fluctuate based on area.
What I'm driving at is that I'd like to create localized economies and am trying to figure out if this is going to be "easy" to do.
If this isn't clear, let me know and I'll try and be a bit more precise...

| | I think the price is based on its level, so what you want to do would require some coding changes. Probably not too much, but some. Maybe a flag "price varies" and some way of knowing what area it is valuable in. |
