| The splash screen can be annoying, it would be great if we could disable it. |

| Just click or press a key and it goes away. How often do you start MUSHclient anyway? |

| Hold down the Shift key as you start MUSHclient. The splash screen goes away instantly, and the default worlds don't open. |

| I have to agree with Poromenos.
The splash screen should have a disable option (preferably disabled by default). How long would it take to put in a disable splash screen option, maybe 5 minutes?
This is just an opinion of a humble user who has been testing the software and been (and am still being) annoyed by the splash screen. I was led to these forums because of my query to google regarding disabling the splash screen.
I haven't registered the software, yet, so my voice probably doesn't carry much weight but you should seriously think about this enhancement. | Top |

| I don't really understand what the problem here is. A lot of software has some sort of splash screen that appears as it loads.
In the case of MUSHclient typing a key or clicking the mouse will instantly dismiss it, and you would generally leave it running for hours.
The splash screen has on it the name of the registered user, and the idea here is that seeing "Unregistered" or some other person's name, would prompt you to register it. |

| If it's a large bother you could always create a program that opens MUSH, waits a second and then opens a macro that clicks the screen for you. But that seems an awful lot of work to reduce a simple mouse click.
Perhaps a compromise? Make the splash screen close 5 seconds after it's displayed, or after the client has succesfully connected to a MUD.
Splash screens are cute, but once a person has registered they serve little purpose. | Top |

| The splash screen already goes away on its own after some time, and it can also be dismissed very easily with a simple click or press of a button. I honestly don't see why it's such a bother. |

The splash screen already goes away after 4 seconds automatically. You can click or hit a key to dismiss it. The key can be a non-printing key, like the Ctrl key.
So, if you are absolutely desparate to start, and the client has loaded your world, connected to the MUD and is ready to go, all in less than 4 seconds, hit the Ctrl key and you are away. |

| Yes, I wasn't sure if the unregisterd and registered versions had different startup screens, so I threw that out there.
I don't see a problem with how this is setup either. | Top |
