This info just does not make any sense to me at all. Ive tried and tried and tried... ive ended up moving tool bars around but still no game screen.
If I knew how to save my aliases and triggers so i wouldnt loose them i would just download the client again.

Go to the View menu and uncheck Info Bar. That should get rid of the gray screen.

For a more permanent fix, uninstall MUSHclient and reinstall it. You don't need to download it again, that won't do anything.

Uninstalling and reinstalling will not lose any triggers or aliases. They are in your world files. However you may want to back them up just in case. Make a copy of any files ending in MCL (MushClient world files).

What will also work is to use RegEdit to delete this one key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Gammon Software Solutions\MUSHclient\CtrlBars-Summary

If you delete the "CtrlBars-Summary" key (when MUSHclient is *not* running) then next time it starts it will put the various control bars into their default positions and all will be well.

If you are not confident about using RegEdit you are probably better off uninstalling MUSHclient (which will delete all registry keys related to it) and reinstalling it.

Reinstalling DOES overwrite the examplescripts. So if you have simply expanded on them for your own, and havent changed the name, youll want to do that.

(Unless Nick has changed that, which I dont think he has)

You can still use the world configuration screen (Alt+Enter) and the normal menus so there should be no problem in saving things.

In version 3.48 the menu option View -> Reset Toolbar Locations should now fix up this problem if it occurs again.
