I just tried Jscript under Vista. Although I got an error "Unspecified error" when I hit the "Register DLL" button, that wasn't necessary. JScript works anyway, without registering it.

Also, I would recommend Lua rather than JScript, as Lua support is imbedded into MUSHclient, without needing to register any script engines.

Not really, since it works here and you are the first person to report it. I presume quite a lot of people are using Vista by now, and some of those would use JScript.

Which version of MUSHclient are you using?

All I can really suggest is seeing if you have disabled JScript in your security settings (eg. in Internet Explorer). Maybe if you have, it won't let MUSHclient use it.

Also, try running MUSHclient "with administrator privileges" - that may help.

I think that JScript comes as standard with Windows these days, because a lot of web sites use JScript.

If all that fails, I suggest using the Lua language. Lua does not use the Windows Script Host, and should work for you.

What does the script do? Can you contact the original author and get them to change it to Lua?

Or can you post some of it here? Maybe someone can help convert it.
