Is there a way to change the size of the info toolbar? I wanted to use a bigger font in there to display the status of various spells and so on but it stopped fitting into it after font size 16.

That is a fixed control.

These days I would achieve that by using a miniwindow, and positioning it to where the info bar used to be. Then you can have multiple lines, as long as you like, bars, and everything.

Willfa did a module that simplifies the interface to miniwindows to do exactly that, status bars with text and hp bars etc.
