I am looking for new muds. I like the one I play, but they are a group of people who do not like outsiders. I am new to this world, but am so interested in it. I know little to nothing about these clients, and help would be awesome.

There are two good web resources for finding other MUDs to play that I know of:
http://www.topmudsites.com/
and
http://www.mudconnect.com/

As for learning about clients, we're more of a "ask a specific question about MUSHclient, get a specific answer about MUSHclient" sort of crowd here in the MUSHclient forums.
